First Year of College

Fall 2011

Classes: Studio 1-A and Architectural Drawing I

These photos are from my first two architecture courses in college. The two model projects are a living cube and a pier. The images from drawing class were from various weekly projects.

Winter 2012

Classes: Studio 1-B and Architectural Drawing II

These images are of my projects in my second term of studies. The models lead up to a row house design project. There are also three study projects from the drawing class: Skirkanich Hall, Fisher Fine Arts Building, and an urban area within Philadelphia.

Villa Stein Group Project

Class: Studio 1-B

This was our first and only group project of the year. We did an analysis of Villa Stein by LeCorbusier and eventually created a 1/4" scale model of the building.

Spring 2012

Classes: Studio 2-A and Intro to CADD I

In studio we had one continuous project. It was to design a "get away" home for a middle aged couple on a real plot of land on Lake Marburg, Hanover, Pennsylvania. Several studies of the land and surrounding area were done, followed by several study models until completion of the design. For CADD class I studied the Loblolly House. It was drawn in 2-D and 3-D on AutoCAD. Then we had a short group project in which we created a model of Mies' Barcelona Pavillion and created a bench for inside it.
