GARRETT ZUBLER Drexel University, B.Arch degree, Class of 2017
Second Year of College
Fall 2012
Class: Studio 2-B
This work is from the first term of my second year. The first project was to design a house for Wharton Esherick. The house has a wall surrounding it so the building itself has an inward focus. The second project was a group project to an extent. The project was to design an urban housing complex that is next to and collaborates with our neighbor's building designs.
Winter 2013
Classes: Studio 3-A and Intro to CADD II
In this term we began a 20 week project for studio. The first seven weeks was dedicated to master planning a site a few blocks away from the studio building. The last three weeks consisted of developing our own portion of the site. In our CADD class, we built the Prada Store, Tokyo, Japan in Rhino as well as completed analyses in Vasari.
Spring 2013
Class: Studio 3-B and Hybrid Making Lab
This term will be a continuation of the previous studio project, going in depth with details of structure and systems. The Hybrid Making Lab is a special course in which I will be furthering my skills in Rhino and grasshopper to laser cut and 3-D print projects.
